NOTE
Opening the Front Cover while printing moves the FINE Cartridge Holder to the right. Close the Front Cover, and reopen it after printing finishes.
Cause and Solution
The printer is not ready.
Check if the POWER lamp is lit green.
The FINE Cartridge Holder will not move unless the power is on. If the POWER lamp is off, close the Front Cover and turn the printer on.
While the POWER lamp is flashing green, the printer is initializing. Wait until the POWER lamp stops flashing and remains lit green, and then open the Front Cover again.
An error has occurred on the printer.
Close the Front Cover, confirm the number of times the ALARM lamp is flashing, take the appropriate action to resolve the error, and then reopen it. For details on how to resolve the error, see "
Alarm Lamp Flashes Orange " .
The Front Cover has been left open for 10 minutes or longer.
If the Front Cover is left open for more than 10 minutes, the FINE Cartridge Holder moves to the right to prevent the Print Head from drying out. Close and reopen the Front Cover to return the FINE Cartridge Holder to the left.
The printer has been printing continuously over a long period.
If the printer has been printing continuously for a long time, close the Front Cover, wait a while, then reopen it.
If the printer has been printing continuously for a long time, the Print Head will overheat, and the printer stops printing temporarily to protect the Print Head. In this case, close the Front Cover for a while, then reopen it to move the FINE Cartridge Holder to the left.
