Canon XF Utility is software that supports the video format XF-HEVC S, XF-HEVC, XF-AVC S, XF-AVC and XF-MPEG, and is used for importing, playing back and managing video data as well as cropping still-image data.
Changes for Canon XF Utility 3.13.10 for macOS :
- Supports EOS R1.
- Supports EOS C400.
- Supports EOS R5 Mark II.
Changes for Canon XF Utility 3.12 for macOS :
- Supports Firmware Version 1.0.9.1 or later for the EOS C500 Mark II.
- Supports Firmware Version 1.0.7.1 or later for the EOS C300 Mark III.
- Supports Firmware Version 1.0.8.1 or later for the EOS C70.
- Supports Firmware Version 1.0.6.1 or later for the EOS R5 C.
- Supports Firmware Version 1.0.3.1 or later for the XF605.
To use this software, your computer has to meet the following system requirements.

Recommended System Configuration:
To enable playback of 4K XF-AVC/4K XF-AVC S/4K XF-HEVC S clips in Intra Frame format and 8K 30p XF-HEVC S clips, the following additional configurations are recommended in addition to the above required system configurations.
(8K XF-HEVC S and 4K XF-AVC S Intra clips may drop frames during playback even in the recommended environment. In this case, record a proxy clip at the same time and play back the proxy clip to check its contents.)

- 64 GB or more
To enable real-time playback of 4K XF-AVC/XF-HEVC, 4K/2K XF-AVC S, and 4K/2K XF-HEVC S clips in Long GOP format, the following additional configurations are recommended in addition to the above required system configurations. (4K 60P clips display resolution setting: 1/2)

- Intel Xeon E5 2.7 GHz 12-core or greater
RAM:
- 32 GB or more
To enable real-time playback of XF-AVC/XF-MPEG clips of 2K or less, the following additional configurations are recommended in addition to the above required system configurations.
CPU:
- Intel Core i7 (model number in the 4000s 4-core / 2.8 GHz) or greater
RAM:
- 8 GB or more
To start the Canon XF Utility, double-click the [Canon XF Utility] icon in the "Canon XF Utility" folder ("Applications" folder -> "Canon Utilities" folder -> "Canon XF Utility" folder).
Please refer to the instructions below on how to download and install the software.
Exit all other applications when installing this software.
1. Download "xum-3-13-10-2-9l.dmg.gz" from the download page.
2. Extract "xum-3-13-10-2-9l.dmg.gz" on the computer to generate "xum-3-13-10-2-9l.dmg".
3. Double-click "xum-3-13-10-2-9l.dmg", and double-click the "XUMInstaller" file in the automatically-mounted disc image "xum313".
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
