Cause and Solution
Paper jams have occurred in the machine. <LIFT PANEL TO OPEN/OPEN TONER COVER> appears alternately.
Clear the paper jam. Then reload paper in the paper cassette or multi-purpose tray. The cover must be opened and closed to resume the current job.
Clear Paper Jams
When <PAPER JAM> or <PAPER JAM/LIFT PANEL TO OPEN> appears on the LCD display, remove jammed paper from the inside of the machine first, then from the paper cassette or multi-purpose tray if necessary.
