The message <12 COVER OPEN> appears in the display on the control panel.

Cause and Solution

The front cover or top cover is open.

Close the cover indicated in the display firmly. If the printer is not online, press [Online].

NOTE

If the message still appears even after one cover is closed, the other cover is open. Check the other cover and close both the covers.
