EOS Utility 2.3 is software exclusively for EOS Digital cameras that combines all the functions involving communication with the camera.
This software accommodates features such as importing and viewing images on the computer by connecting the camera to the computer, using the remote shooting function, and controlling the camera from the computer to specify the camera settings.
EOS Digital camera users can install EOS Utility 2.3 using this EOS Utility 2.3 Updater for Mac OS X.
Changes to EOS Utility 2.3 for Mac OS X
1. Remote shooting problem for EOS Utility 2.2 fixed
The problem in which the images are not transferred to PC in Remote Live View function of EOS Utility when the Remote Live View window is displayed and then closed, and in which EOS Utility does not respond afterwards even when releasing the shutter on the camera has been fixed.
(Supported Cameras: EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, EOS-1D Mark III)
2. Remove Live View window improved
When double-clicking the Remove Live View window, it will switch to the Zoom View screen. When double-clicking the Zoom View screen, it will switch to the Remote Live View window.
(Supported Cameras: EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, and EOS-1D Mark III)
3. Functions added to Remove Live View window
A Maintain Zoom View check box has been added to the Zoom View screen. By clicking this check box (ON), even if remote shooting is performed or magnification of the camera is changed while the Zoom View screen is displayed, the Remote Live View window is not displayed in the previous screen, and the Zoom View screen is displayed in the previous screen instead. (The setting for the check box is OFF by default)

1. This software is exclusively for Mac OS X (10.3 to 10.4).
2. Supported Computers
2-1.Macintoshes with one of the supported OSes installed and that come with a USB port by default.

3. Please make sure that at least one of the following applications is installed in your computer before downloading EOS Utility 2.3.0 Updater for Mac OS X.

1. This software is exclusively for Mac OS X (10.3 to 10.4).
Please use EOS Utility 1.1.1 for Mac OS X if you are running Mac OS 10.2 (updater can be downloaded separately).
2. It is linked with Digital Photo Professional, ImageBrowser, Picture Style Editor, and WFT Utility, but the latest software is required.
Please download the latest version of the software. (These updaters can be downloaded separately).

- Picture Style Editor (1.1 or later)
- WFT Utility (3.2 or later)
3. We have found the following problems with PowerPC-based Macintoshes running Mac OS 10.4.7.
3-1. Connections cannot be made with EOS D30, D60, 10D, 20D, 20Da, EOS Kiss DIGITAL/300D DIGITAL/DIGITAL REBEL.
3-2. Connections cannot be made with EOS Kiss DIGITAL N/350D DIGITAL/DIGITAL REBEL XT, and 5D when the communication setting is PC connection. (Connections can be made when the communication setting is changed to Print/PTP. However, it is not possible to take remote shots because the communication setting has to be PC connection.)
Please update the OS version to Mac OS 10.4.8 or later.
Download and Installation Procedures
Please make sure that at least one of the following applications is installed in your computer before downloading EOS Utility 2.3.0 Updater for Mac OS X.

Please refer to the following instructions on how to download and install the software.
1. Click the download file at the bottom of this page to start downloading it.
2. When the download is complete, the file starts extracting automatically, and then the downloaded file will appear on the desktop.
3. Double-click the downloaded file, the [EU230X] icon appears on the desktop and it will open automatically.
4. Double-click the [UpdateInstaller] to start the installer, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
*When running the updater installer, please log on to the computer as an administrator.
