Can I use the zooming function during movie-recording?

Solution

The optical zoom cannot be used during movie-recording.

You can use the digital zoom, but images may appear coarse.

CAUTION

To use the digital zoom during movie-recording, you need to set the [Movie Mode] to [Standard] ().
If the [Movie Mode] is set to either [Color Accent] () or [Color Swap] (), the digital zoom cannot be used during movie-recording.

NOTE

If you want to zoom in to capture a subject, adjust the size with the optical zoom before shooting.
