    Can movies be down-converted from high definition to standard definition?

    Solution

      High-definition movies can be down-converted to standard definition by one of the following methods.

      • Using the [Convert HD -> SD] (MPEG2 format) command on the menu or the <POWERED IS/WEB> button, convert and copy movies in the built-in memory to a memory card.

      • Using [PIXELA VideoBrowser] supplied with the camcorder, create a DVD in standard definition (DVD-Video format).
      Refer to the instruction manual of [PIXELA VideoBrowser].

      • When connecting to a TV or a recorder, use the bundled STV-250N stereo video cable to output the analog video signal in standard definition.
