How to Set the Receive Mode (MF6550)
Solution
1. Press [Additional Functions].
2. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [FAX SETTINGS] then press [OK].
3. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select [RX MODE] then press [OK].
4. Press [Left cursor] or [Right cursor] to select the receive mode then press [OK].
You can select from the following:
- [FaxOnly] to automatically receive faxes only. Voice calls will be disconnected.
- [FaxTel] to automatically switch between fax and voice calls. Faxes will be received automatically and the machine will ring for voice calls.
- [AnsMode] to receive faxes automatically and route voice calls to an answering machine connected to the machine.
- [Manual] for the connected telephone to ring for fax and voice calls. Fax calls must be answered manually.
NOTE
If you set [MANUAL/AUTO] to [ON] in [RX SETTINGS] of the [FAX SETTINGS], the machine will receive faxes automatically even when the receive mode is set to [Manual].
5. Press [Stop] to return to the standby mode.
