Saving Images to a Computer with CameraWindow (8.7-8.10)

Solution
IMPORTANT
- CameraWindow (8.7-8.10) must be installed in order to perform the following operations.
- A USB cable (camera end: Mini-B) is not included with this camera. Please use a commercially available USB cable (camera end: Mini-B).
- In this section, Windows 7 is used as an example. The on-screen displays and operations may differ depending on the operating system.
- The following procedure is shown on the PowerShot A2600. The position and shape of the operation buttons, screens displayed, and setting items may differ according to the model you use.
1. Connect the <DIGITAL> terminal of the camera to the computer's USB port using a USB cable (camera end: Mini-B).

When the camera and computer become capable of communicating, CameraWindow will start. Proceed to the "Operate CameraWindow" step below.
- If using Windows Vista or Windows XP
When the [AutoPlay] screen* appears, click [Downloads Images From Canon Camera].
If the screen does not appear, click [Start] (
) > [All Programs] or [Programs] > [Canon Utilities] > [CameraWindow] > [CameraWindow].

3. Click the () icon displayed in the [taskbar].

By default, the imported images will be saved separated by each shooting date in the picture folder.
