A recent announcement by Google on “Less secure apps & your Google Account” has come to our attention.
According to the announcement, Google will no longer support the use of third-party apps or devices which require a user to sign-in to Google Account using only username and password from 30 May 2022.
Depending on the user's linked account, the SEND function (send email and iFAX receipt) on Canon's printer may be affected if it is linked to user's Google account.
Affected models:
All Multifunctional Printers / Laser Printers / Inkjet Printers with SEND function (send email and iFAX receipt) linked to user’s Google account.
