Firmware Version 1.0.1 is for the WFT-E4 / E4A wireless file transmitter with firmware Version 1.0.0. If the firmware is already Version 1.0.1, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Preparations for the Firmware Update:
Download the compressed file (zip file). Double-click on the zip file. WinZip or a similar archive utility will launch. From the Actions dropdown menu choose Select All. Click Extractfrom the toolbar. Choose a location for the extracted files. Then, navigate to the extracted files. The extracted files are the firmware (file name: WE400101.UPD / file size: 1,877,900 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese).
