    Cause and Solution

    The USB cable has already been connected and the printer is ON before installing the printer driver.
    Perform the following procedure.

    2. Disconnect the USB cable.
    3. Connect the USB cable again.

    The printer is not turned ON.

    The USB cable is not connected properly.
    Make sure that the printer and computer are connected with the USB cable properly.

    An inappropriate USB cable is being used.
    Use a USB cable appropriate for the USB interface of this printer. The USB interface is USB 2.0 Hi-Speed and USB Full-Speed (USB1.1 equivalent).
    Additionally, use a USB cable with the following symbol.

    The USB class driver is installed.
